My name is Spencer Harkin, Brookings South Dakota is where my shop is based out of. My start in wood working came from my dad. My earliest memories of woodworking come from the home depot classes on weekends. Those early experiences built the foundation for what has become both a craft and a passion.
Harkin Workshop is named after my grandfather’s business, Harkin Machine Shop, which stood for hard work and doing the right thing. That mindset still guides the way I approach my work today.
Outside of the shop, I’m a student at South Dakota State University studying Consumer Behaviors.
